SHILLONG, AUG 24: The KSU will decide on the government’s invitation for talks at its emergency CEC meeting on Tuesday, assistant general secretary Pynshaiborlang Rani said.
He said the Union learnt about the invite through media reports on Monday morning and received the official letter around 11-12 pm, making it difficult to convene leaders from West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, East and West Jaintia Hills and Ri-Bhoi the same day.
Earlier in the day, KSU held a flag hoisting and prayer at its Jaiaw office with former leaders present, days after the premises was allegedly vandalised during police action on August 19, to reaffirm its resolve.
