SHILLONG, SEPT 9: Meghalaya government has issued notification permitting persons engaged in emergency duty such as ambulance, fire service, emergency maintenance, police and armed forces to use beacons on their vehicles. Meghalaya’s transport department said ambulance are to use blue beacon, fire service, police and armed forces with red beacon, emergency maintenance with amber beacon and police patrol vehicles will use multi-coloured beacon.
