State funeral on Sept 29

SHILLONG, SEPT 26: Meghalaya government has declared three days state mourning as a mark of respect to late Hopingstone Lyngdoh, a veteran politician and Hills State People‘s Democratic Party (HSPDP) legislator and informed that the state funeral will be held on September 29.

Meghalaya’s  General Administration (A) Department (GAD) under-secretary inform that the three days of state mourning will be on September 27th, 28th and 29th. During the period of state mourning there will be no official entertainment and the national flag will be flown at half-mast at all government establishments throughout the state. – By Our Reporter
