SHILLONG, JUL 14: Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla on Tuesday said the state government is waiting for an internal report from NEIGRIHMS on the alleged molestation case before deciding on further action.
Speaking to reporters, Shylla said the institute has already initiated an inquiry into the matter.
“From their end, as we have enquired, they have ordered an investigation. So, we are waiting for their report,” Shylla said.
He added that the government will take steps based on the findings of the probe.
“Based on their report, we will take action. We have to wait and give them time to inquire from their end about what has really happened,” the minister said.
“After that, we will see if anything is not in order. We will see before the state government steps in,” Shylla stated.
The minister did not share further details of the case, citing that the matter is currently under investigation by the institute.
