SHILLONG, FEB 5: GNLA militants ambushed the police who were travelling in the 4th battalion bus at Jadigitam under Nongalbibra police station on Friday morning injuring two constables.
The injured constables are being shifted to Williamnagar Civil hoapital for treatment. The battalion bus was carrying ration to South Garo hills area. South Garo Hills SP Anand Mishra rushed to the ambush site with additional commandos and launched counter operations.
Rakkam, the finance secretary and area commander of GNLA in Nongalbibra is suspected to be behind this ambush. Further details are awaited.-By Our Reporter
