SHILLONG, AUG 29: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Pynshngainlang N Syiem and Chairman Fabian Lyngdoh laid the foundation stone for the new legislative council building on Thursday. The estimated cost of the new council building will be Rs 4. 74 crores. The council’s auditorium was also inaugurated.
Speaking at the inauguration, Syiem said by upgrading the infrastructures of the council it will meet the present needs of the KHADC. He also assured that the present KHADC executive council is trying its best to strengthen the functioning of council.
Syiem also launched the website of the Monolith Festival – www.monolithfestivalshillong.com. The inauguration was also attended by the KHADC executive members, MDCs, and the district council’s officials. – By Our Reporter
