In Mawsynram, there is a cave called the Mawjymbuin Cave. Years of weathering and dripping of mineralized solutions and deposition of calcium salts has formed magnificent stalagmites. The stalagmite of the Mawjymbuin Cave, shaped like a massive Shivalinga is revered by Hindus who make an annual pilgrimage to this place.
