SHILLONG, JUL 23: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) felicitated three students from the community who secured top ranks in the ST category in JEE Advanced 2026 and gained admission to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
The felicitation was organised by the KSU Education Cell, Central Executive Council, at Shillong.
Richbhalang Kharshiing secured an All India Rank of 15 in the ST category and has been admitted to the Computer Science and Engineering programme at IIT Bombay.
Dasannaki Bareh Lyndem secured AIR 281 in the ST category and will join the Mathematics and Computing programme at IIT Indore.
David Bajop Christopher Gatphoh secured AIR 461 in the ST category and has been admitted to the Electrical Engineering programme at IIT Indore.
KSU leaders said the achievements have brought pride not only to the students’ families but to the entire Khasi community and the state of Meghalaya.
“We are proud of their hard work and dedication. Their success should serve as an inspiration for other students to pursue excellence in academics with discipline and determination,” the KSU said.
The union expressed hope that more students from the state would excel in competitive examinations and other fields in the coming years, and bring further recognition to Meghalaya.
