TURA, OCT 1: Of the nine = traders from Assam , who were abducted on Thursday from a village near Chokpot in South Garo hills, one has managed to escape for captivity. The trader with the help of local residents today managed to reach Silkigre police outpost. “Search operation has been intensified in the area”, said Anand Mishra, superintendent of police, South Garo Hills, who is leading the operation in the jungles of Chokpot, a region known for heightened insurgent base.
