GUWAHATI, FEB 2: Noted entrepreneur of Meghalaya and founder of Honsen Lyngdoh Earth Moving & Hauling Services, Honsen Lyngdoh has been conferred Life Time Achievement Awards by 5th North-East Consumer Awards for social entrepreneurship.
Union minister for Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Kalraj Mishra presented the award to Lyngdoh in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Bhubaneswar Kalita, Lok Sabha MP Gaurav Gogoi, Assam chief secretary Jitesh Khosla, Chief Information Commissioner HS Das, Principal Secretary to the chief minister MGVK Bhanu, Chairman of the Board of Governors of IIM Falguni Rajkumar.
Those who were present during the glittering ceremony held at Radisson Blu hotel in Guwahati includes senior member of North-Eastern Council MP Bebaruah, Commissioner of Police for Guwahati J Chakravarty and ex-chief secretary of Assam HN Das .
The 5th North-East Consumer Awards was hosted by Hindi Daily Dainik Purvoday along with Asomiya Pratidin, Indian Chamber of Commerce, News Time, Royal Group of Institutions and Red FM.
“Making money is happiness. Making other people happy is a super happiness,” said Honsen Lyngdoh after receiving the award. “I believe entrepreneurs of North-East can change the life of this region,” he added.
North-East Consumer Awards, an initiative pioneered by leading Hindi Daily of North-East “Dainik Purvoday”, is a unique way of saluting those brands which have caught the imagination of aspiring North-East Indian consumers.
This is the biggest consumer programme in Eastern India and every year selects the most preferred brands in different categories. Over the years it has emerged as one of the most coveted business events in North-east and has been recognized by both civic and business fraternity.- By Our Reporter
