AIACEGEO to join one-day agitation

Shillong, Sept 25: Along with the rest of the country, the All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers (AIACEGEO) North east Zone, Shillong informed that it will join hands with the Joint Action Committee of Associations under the Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) in a one-day agitation program Wednesday

In  press note sent by the Association’s General Secretary Probir Kumar Sen, it informed that the day-long program will include fasting by officers during working hours, wearing black badges, and hold demonstration in each of the Commissionerates Headquarters at Shillong, Guwahati and Dibrugarh during lunch hour, with appropriate posters displayed exhibiting the charter of demands.

In Shillong, the demonstration will be held at Morello Compound in front of the Office of the Commissioner, Central Excise and Service Tax.

The charter of demands include the immediate approval of cadre restructuring, no-cut in proposed grade A posts as approved by the Department of Expenditure, Government of India, and the removal of stagnation in Superintendent Cadre by implementing separate schemes such as separate service, in-situ scheme, time bound promotion, and up gradation.-By Our Reporter
