SHILLONG, JUNE 25: The union government sanctioned six companies of CRPF and four companies of BSF to be deployed in the violence ravaged Garo hills district of Meghalaya after the Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma had requested the union home ministry for additional security. Sangma told reporters that he is confident that his government will tackle the law and order problems in Garo hills effectively even as he infomrd that all districts have been directed to be alert and nipped in the bud the trouble mongers attempt to disturb peace and tranquility.- By Our Reporter
