SHILLONG, JUNE 21: Teachers in the state have conveyed their wishes to the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma for his speedy recovery.
The chief minister had to postpone several meetings scheduled for Thursday after he was feeling unwell.
Conrad was supposed to convene a meeting with the delegation of the Joint Action Committee of All Teacher Associations of Meghalaya (JACATAM) at 12 pm and also a cabinet meeting at 3 pm.
In a statement issued here, JACATAM leaders said the committee conveys its wishes to the chief minister for his quick recovery.
“Though the meeting was postponed, he (CM) however had assured to immediately invite us the moment he joins office,” they said.
On the other hand, the Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers Association (MUPSTA) also called upon its members to have a special prayer for the chief minister to get well soon.
“The association hope that the meeting with the chief minster will be re-scheduled after he is being well,” MUPSTA organizing cum publicity secretary EG War said.
