SHILLONG, SEPT 16: The Meghalaya State Legal Service Authority (MSLSA) today organized a street play to create awareness on the ill effects of drug use and human trafficking at MUDA Parking Lot, Police Bazaar.
Street plays were presented by the personnel of Sadar Police Station along with students of the Social Work Department of Martin Luther Christian University, Professionals Academy and members of the Shillong Bar Association along with staff of the Shillong Court.
The people who spoke on the burning issue of drugs abuse and human trafficking were B Khriam, CJM, Shillong, Davis R Marak, Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Vivek Syiem, Superintendent of Police (City), Rajiv Nath, Public Prosecutor, Shillong.
The speakers on the occasion stressed on the need of adopting a holistic approach to tackle the menace of drugs and human trafficking which is causing greatest harm to the society.
