In view of the counting of votes and announcement of result of the Lok Sabha Elections, 2024 and considering the enormous flow of vehicles and party supporters towards SRGT Parking Lot & JN Stadium Polo, the Shillong Traffic Police had imposed traffic regulation for 4th June 2024 from 08:00 am.
No Entry from Golf Link Tri-Jn. towards Polo and Vehicles coming from Mawroh Jn. will be diverted towards Tiara Restaurant Jn. Pynthorumkhrah Assam Dairy Jn. Wahumkhrah Bridge (near rear gate of JN Complex) and beyond and Vehicles coming from Shyiap/Tiara Restaurant Jn. will be diverted towards Mawroh and beyond.
No Entry from Golf Club Jn and Vehicles will be diverted towards Polo Tiara Restaurant Jn. and beyond.
No Entry from Lumjingshai Jn. towards CRPF Jn and Vehicles will be diverted towards Lawmali Polo Market4th Furlong / Polo Towers Jn. and beyond.
No Entry from Lumjingshai Jn. towards Forest Colony and Vehicles will be diverted towards Lawmali Polo Market4th Furlong/Polo Towers Jn. and beyond.
No Entry from Polo Point towards CRPF Jn and Vehicles will be diverted towards Matri Mandir Jn./Lawmali and beyond
No Entry from Merin’s Restaurant Jn. towards Polo Vehicles will be diverted towards Golf Club Jn. Tiara Restaurant Jn and beyond.
The order stated that ‘No Parking’ shall be imposed around the Polo agglomeration on 4th June, 2024 from 6 am till the counting of vote hence general public are urged not to park their vehicles around Polo area.
Plying of Heavy Motor Vehicles including Buses around the Polo agglomeration shall be strictly prohibited on 4th June, 2024 and general public are requested to avoid plying of vehicles towards Polo area from 8 am onwards.
However, only vehicles with pass and of Emergency Service will be facilitated.
