St Mary’s: A winner

SHILLONG, JULY 12: St. Mary’s college beat St. Anthony’s college in the final to walk away with the basket ball tournament trophy organized by the St. Mary’s College authority as part of its platinum jubilee celebration 2013.

To commemorate the occasion a Women’s Inter College Basketball Tournament from 3rd July 2013 to the 8th July 2013 was organized by the St. Mary’s College.

Different city colleges participated in the basket tournament and in the final match host St.Mary’s College clashed with St.Anthony’s College. The host beat St Anthony’s College by 57-28 .

Neil Antonio War, MDC Laitumkhrah and executive member in-charge finance, planning and trade of Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) was the chief guest in the final of the basketball tourney. Larihun. A.Warjri of St.Mary’s College was adjudged the best player of the tournament.- By Our Reporter
