Shillong, Oct 30: The court of judicial Magistrate FS Sangma Tuesday remanded five day’s police custody to the six persons who were arrested for allegedly murdering forty-five year old Losber Pyngrope 45 over a land dispute at Thangbnai village in East Khasi hills district Monday morning.
The murder took place at around 6.30 am. The six persons who have been remanded to police custody are Phrangsngi Pyngrope (23), Mong Pyngrope (23), Rojak Pyngrope (22), Philis Pyngrope (26), Speak Pyngrope (45) and Saiankshiar (75).
A case has been registered against the six under section 308 IPC under Madanriting police station.
It may be mentioned here that according to police Losber was dragged from a roadside and taken to Saiankshiar house and murdered there. The victim was staying with his wife in the same village.
The deceased was related to the six who have accused of the murder. Police are now investigating the case and also interrogating all those who have been arrested.
