SHILLONG, JUNE 16: United Democratic Party leader and former Mawlai legislator Process T Sawkmie on Friday lauded the performance of the three months old NPP-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance 0.2 government.
“The hundred days Meghalaya Democratic Alliance is starting with a good hope and inspiration to the people of the state. We have to appreciate the present government and the work taken up by them within a span of a hundred days,” Sawkmie said in a statement.
He said that the G-20 meeting which was held in the city in which all the delegates both national and international had appreciated the state government. The government had taken up works to beautify Shillong city and constituencies under the district.
Stating that the law and order is by and large peaceful in the state, the former MLA said, “This has been appreciated even by the people coming from outside the state…Peace is very important to maintain in the state and the government is looking forward to the cooperation of the citizens.”
He said that the MDA has not done anything wrong during the hundred days in government.
