Rongjeng Fest on the anvil

SHILLONG, FEB 13:  Rongjeng in East Garo hills district will host the ‘Rongjeng Festival
from March 20-22. The three-day gala event aims at promoting friendship and brotherhood in the region. It will also showcase ethnic culture, food, beverage, music and marketplace.

The community-participated event will consists of music performance by local talents, games & sports for young and old alike. Event director Shamina Sangma said, “The marketplace will have stalls for ethnic food, handloom and handicraft products, and other locally produces items.” Self-help groups, local producers and others interested are requested to contact the organizer for taking part in the event at 8575157016.
