SHILLONG, MAY 15: Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Friday said that the revenue generation of the state has gone down to ‘zero level’ due to the national lockdown to combat against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The lockdown which was imposed for nearly two months has caused massive disruption in economic activities in the state.
“The generation of revenue has gone down may be to zero level,” Tynsong told reporters here.
When asked, the Deputy CM said that the government is yet to calculate on the overall revenue loss incurred by the state during the lockdown period.
“However, I am telling you that the revenue loss is huge but details I don’t have as you know our officers are busy in fighting against COVID-19,” he said.
