SHILLONG, DEC 24: Meghalaya SSA Schools Association (MSSASA) president Aristotle Rymbai on Friday said that the release of two month salary will not solve the SSA teacher’s problems and difficulties faced by the teachers.
This came a day after the state government released the two months salary for August and September following the release of Rs 53 crore by the Centre.
Rymbai said that as far as salary matters are concerned, the MSSASA still stand to demand for the release of all pending dues till the month of December 2021.
“As far as salary matter is concerned our stand is very clear we demand release of all our pending dues i.e. till the month of December 2021, therefore the non-cooperation movement to all the programmes and activities of the state government and the letter campaign to the chief minister and education minister will continue as announced earlier,” he added.
Rymbai reiterated the demand for the state government to release the additional funds amounting to Rs.104 crores which has been lying for the last three years which is a funds for financial support for payment of SSA teacher’s salary as per capping norms of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) which is also a part of 10 percent state share so that the pending salary of the remaining months could be clear.
