SHILLONG, OCT 14: Ri Bhoi district police arrested the Ri Bhoi Youth Front (RBYF) ,Kyrdemkulai unit, president B Star Nongsbap for throwing a petrol bomb during the agitation called on the issue of removing two local women employees from the MUDA Byrnihat office.
Ri Bhoi SP C Reddy said the police on Sunday night arrested Nongsbap.
Nongsbap was arrested for his involvement in throwing a petrol bomb in a vehicle at Umsning during the agitation of the group demanding to re-instate two casual labourers of MUDA office and withdrawal of the FIR that was filed against the NGO for locking down the office.
Two persons were injured in the incident. Nongsbap has been forwarded to the court and the court has given three days police custody.- By Our Reporter
