Rape accused chargesheet

SHILLONG, JUNE 15: Police on Wednesday chargesheet Vicky Syiemlieh for rape and murder of a 19 year old girl at 4 ½ mile Upper Shillong earlier this year.“We have filed charge sheet against him,” SP (City) Vivek Syiem said. Syiem said that the accused was also charged for destruction of evidence. The rape and murder incident had triggered protests from several quarters demanding punitive action against the culprit.-By Our Reporter
