SHILLONG, NOV 19: Meghalaya home minister Roshan Warjri said police officials have been deputed to review the law and order situation in Garo hills region following the Tuesday’s IED attacked by GNLA killing two cops and injuring three others.
“A team of senior police officials have been deputed to review and take stock of the situation,” Warjri said on Wednesday to reporters.
Warjri said she strongly condemn the cold blooded, gruesome and inhumane attack that occurred yesterday near Siju, South Garo Hills, which has taken away the precious lives of two police personnel, Aldrin Lyngdoh and Aitom A Sangma, while performing their duties.”
“The barbaric activities being carried out by these militant groups must be condemned in the strongest terms,” Warjri said.
Extending her deepest condolences to the bereaved family members, “Warjri said, I deeply share their sorrow and pain in this hour of grief, while also praying that God will grant them solace and strength.” She also wished for a speedy recovery to the police personnel injured in this incident, DFM Medison Sangma; ABC Betherson Sangma and BNC Brething K Sangma.- By Our Reporter
