SHILLONG, SEPT 13: The two days annual photography exhibition cum sale of the department of Mass Media, St. Anthony’s College, kick-started on Friday morning inaugurated by the Meghalaya arts & culture department director Matseiwdor War Nongbri at the college conference hall.
The teachers, students and other dignitaries beside the chief guest Nongbri were present on the occasion.
.This is the 16th photography exhibition of the mass media of St.Anthony’s college. The theme of the exhibition this year is “Life as we know it” The 3rd year students of both Media Technologies and Mass Communication and Video Production have put on display around 140 photographs. The exhibition was declared open by Nongbri.
In her address as chief guest, Nongbri expressed her love and appreciation for photographs and said that photography can be a good source of income. She also called upon the Mass Media department to collaborate with the Art and Culture department for future projects, stating that she looks forward for such collaborations.
Nongbri also informed that the cultural extravaganza ‘18 degrees’ is an upcoming show undertaken by the Meghalaya Arts and Culture department which will also have a photography workshop – cum – exhibition as part of the event.- By Our Reporter
