Petrol pump attacked

SHILLONG, MAR 2: The Shallang petrol was attacked on Monday morning when unknown miscreants lobbed a petrol bomb injuring two employees Amresh Kumar and, Mejentis Sangma. However police said the injuries are minor. The incident took place around 6:15am.

Police source said that the petrol pump owner had been served with demand note by the GNLA demanding one crore rupees which was not paid.  Mejantis Sangma was shifted to Rongjeng PHC for medical treatment.West Khasi hills SP S Nongtnger said the police along with the Special Weapon and Tactic Team (SWAT) team is conducting a search operation in an around Shallang to nab the culprits responsible for the attack.- By Our Reporter
