One died in road mishap

SHILLONG, OCT 14: A pillion rider died when a motorcycle he was sitting on collided head on with a bus at Laitumkhrah on Saturday.

The incident took place at around 12.10 am, when motorcycle (ML-05P-9307) ridden by Rudy Shadap (21) collided with the bus (ML-05-8034) driven by Indropal Singh (45), police said.

As a result, the motorcycle rider along with one pillion rider viz Lenny Pyngrope (21) sustained injuries and were admitted at Nazareth Hospital, Shillong. Pyngrope however succumbed to his injuries.
