SHILLONG, JUNE 2: Because of the growing public demand for national award winning Khasi feature film “Onaatah” – of the earth- the movie continues to be a hit in the city-based cinemas and it will continue to be showed the fourth-week.
Informing this on Thursday, lead actress of the national award winning film, Sweety Pala said, “We have decided to continue showing the film for the fourth week starting from Friday.”
The movie has managed to get an overwhelming response from the public with over 10, 000 viewers watching the movie in a span of few days after its was a release last month.
Admitting that the decision to continue was because of the growing public demand, Pala said, “The public response was tremendous which is seen as a big encouragement.” According to her, the film will be shown in Anjalee and Biju cinemas and ticket rates will remain as decided.
When asked, she said that the film will soon be shown in other districts of the state as well.
Pala also said that they are contemplating to screen the movie even outside the state starting from neighbouring Assam.
“Talks are going on and we will soon come to a point where we will decide about it,” she said while commenting that film making in Meghalaya is doing quite well and it is about time for other film makers to come forward.-By Our Reporter
