Shillong, September 1: Vehicles will not be allowed to ply through Dhankheti towards Don Bosco square from Monday as the Shillong Traffic branch decided to temporary put a “No-Entry” zone.
Additional SP (Traffic) Herbert G Lyngdoh said, “We have decided to put a ‘No-Entry’ from Dhankheti prohibiting vehicles to enter Don Bosco Square due to some construction work being taken up by the Meghalaya Urban Development Authority (MUDA).”
The “no-entry” will, however, be effective for a month to enable completion of construction work. The earlier arrangement of one way for two hours during school hours will now be in anti clock wise. From Monday vehicles that would like to go to Don Bosco from Dhankheti will now have to come via Fire brigade – Laitumkhrah to Don Bosco square”.
Lyngdoh said, “There will “No Parking” at the road stretching from St Anthony’s School, Don Bosco towards St Anthony’s College”. –By Our Reporter
