SHILLONG, MAR 7: Newly appointed BSF Inspector General of Meghalaya Frontier PK Dubey on Monday emphasized on the use of technology for effective border management.
“Such measure can help in preventing and curbing trans-border crimes,” Dubey, who took over charge on Monday said. He stated that it will also help in maintaining cordial relationship with the border population, respecting human rights and welfare of the troops.
Dubey has come on his permanent posting from New Delhi.
He was also conferred with the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service (PPMMS) and President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service (PPMDS) besides number of Director General’s commendation rolls.
The officer also has experience of serving in prestigious National Security Guard (NSG) as group commander.
The Meghalaya Frontier is one of the most challenging frontier of the BSF.-By Our Reporter
