SHILLONG, MAR 25: Former chief minister of Meghalaya Mukul Sangma on Monday filed his nomination papers as the Congress candidate from the Tura parliamentary seat.
BJP state vice president Rikman G Momin also filed his nomination papers as the party candidate for contesting from the seat.
With this, Tura will be witnessing a triangular fight in for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, slated to be held on April 11. The ruling National People’s Party (NPP) nominee Agatha K Sangma had already filed her nomination papers on Friday last.
Agatha is being supported by the regional parties who are coalition partners of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) government.
