Shillong, Sept 3: Meghalaya Taekwondo Association (MTA) has become the champion in the 3rdMeghalaya Open Taekwondo Championship 2012 Sunday with a total of 341 points, outscoring the other teams by almost four times.
Second place went to RTTC with 85 points while third went to MMTA with 76 points. Fighters from Jaiñtia Hills District, the Army Public School Shillong, as well as Sports Authority of India got less than thirty points.
The two-day event which was organized by Meghalaya Moonlight Taekwondo Academy (MMTA) had as many as 245 participants from Khasi and Jaiñtia Hills with students, schools and taekwondo clubs also taking part. By Our Reporter
