MRB for LPG transfer

SHILLONG, DEC 4: East Khasi Hills deputy commissioner Sanjay Goyal informed that the Meghalaya Rural Bank is a scheduled bank approved by the Ministry of Petroleum for the Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG.

Goyal statement came after the recent confusion whether the account holders of the MRB can avail the DBT benefit. “It is clarified that the account holders of MRB can give the same account details for DBT linkage to the respective gas agencies and they need not open any new account for this purpose,” he informed.

Goyal said the account holder need to enter the following details in their forms to be submitted to concerned gas agencies: Branch:  Meghalaya Rural Bank, Centre:  Shillong and IFS Code: SBIN0RRMEGB. – By Our Reporter
