TURA, SEPT 17: National People’s Party (NPP) national president and Tura Lok Sabha MP Conrad K. Sangma on Saturday said that recognition to Saint Teresa of Calcutta by government of India was “not enough”.
“By simply giving an award, we cannot appreciate what she has done for the cause of humanity. We have to live her life”, Sangma said while addressing a gathering at Sainthood celebration of Mother Teresa at Tura.
He said that it would be befitting if government extend support to her works. “If we really appreciate her works, we have to support her works and follow the footsteps she laid down before all of us”, the Tura MP said, who had also attended the canonization of Saint Teresa at Vatican on September 4 as part of Indian delegation led by union external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj.

My mother also greeted her and kissed her hand. Mother Teresa said she had come to see us and pray for us”, he added.

They are continuing to do their selfless service to the destitute and the poor and are living the lives of Mother Teresa”.
