SHILLONG, MAR 28: The driver of the vehicle who had gone missing with one crore, ten lakhs of rupees was found death by the police at a cliff near Pomlum which is six kilometers before reaching Mawsynram. Police found the body of the driver on Thursday morning.
Police also found the vehicle along with the death body. But East Khasi SP M Kharkhrang said that the one crore and ten lakh of rupees was missing. He told this website, “The driver was found death along with the vehicle but the money was missing.”
The driver was on his way to Borsora to deposit the money to the managers of four coal exporters. However on the way he went missing as he did not reach the schedule place.
Police have launched investigation to find out as to who could be behind the murder and the missing money.- By Our Reporter
