SHILLONG, NOV 19: The state on Friday recorded 38 new COVID-19 cases taking the total active cases to 286.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said 26 cases have been detected in East Khasi Hills, 6 East Garo Hills, 3 West Khasi Hills, 2 West Garo Hills and 1 Ri Bhoi.
Dr War also informed that 23 persons have recovered from the viral infection.
Of these, 16 are from East Khasi Hills, 3 Ri Bhoi, 2 West Garo Hills and 1 each in East Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills.
He said the state has registered zero COVID-19 deaths during the past 24 hours.
So far, the state has detected a total of 84,188 COVID-19 cases out of which 286 are active cases, 82,435 recovered and 1,467 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has the highest active COVID-19 cases with 204 followed by West Garo Hills 20.
There are 19 cases in East Garo Hills, 13 Ri Bhoi, 13 West Khasi Hills, 11 West Jaintia Hills, 4 East Jaintia Hills, 1 South West Garo Hills and 1 South Garo Hills.
