SHILLONG, NOV 3: Six minor students and two guardians were injured when they were hit by a car at 3rd Mile Upper Shillong on Monday afternoon. These students, who are in the age group 4 – 5 years, were just stepping out of the school gate when a Hyundai Santro bearing registration number – ML 05 J 3112 hit them, police said.
Police said the incident happened when the small kids along with their guardians were walking back home on the side of the main road. The incident happened near St Gabriel School at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong.
Injured Roshanstar Kharkrang (4), Balahun Kharmawphlang (4), Ribhaphylla Kurbah (4), Anderson Nongbri (4), Mewanbok Lyngdoh (4), Badaiahun Iawphniaw (5), Hehbokling Iawphniaw (23) and Klankti Lyngdoh (30) were immediately rush to Shillong Civil Hospital.
Police sources Kharkrang, Kharmawphlang, Kurbah, Nongbri, Iawphniaw and Iawphniaw were later shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong for further medical treatment.- By Our Reporter
