Guv gives away the Meghalaya Day awards

SHILLONG, JAN 26:The first prize for the tableau presentation during the Republic Day celebration was bagged by District Election Office, Shillong, second prize by Sericulture and Weaving and third prize went to district commerce and Industries centre.

During the ceremony announcement was made for the Award of Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service to Ganesh Muktan, Sub Officer of Police and Fire Services and Award of the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medals for Meritorious Service to C. Ranee, Commandant, Central Training Institute, Civil Defence and Home Guards, Shillong and Abinash Dalbot Sangma, Havildar, Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, Shillong which has been approved by the President of India
