Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma on Monday launched the website of Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Government of Meghalaya at the 24th Rajya Sainik Board meeting held at Secretariat, Shillong.Progress of the construction of Sainik Rest House in Shillong, establishment of Zila Sainik Board and Sainik Rest House at Tura, sanction of welfare organizer officers, cash grant to gallantry award recipients, induction of skilled technical manpower, establishment of Sainik school, in the state and release of grants and ex gratia etc were among some of the agendas that were discussed during the meeting. Also present during the meeting were Leader of opposition, Ronnie V Lyngdoh and Chief Secretary, D P Wahlang.
