SHILLONG, MAR 6: NPP national president and chief minister designate Conrad K Sangma has decided to have two deputy chief ministers in his cabinet, which will be sworn in on Tuesday.
Sources informed that Pynursla legislator Prestone Tynsong and Nartiang legislator Sniawbhalang Dhar of the NPP will be sworn in as deputy chief ministers of the state.
The NPP has decided to keep the lion’s share of 8 out of 12 cabinet berths.
Sources further said that the new cabinet will also see inclusion of other NPP legislators namely Rongara-Siju legislator Rakkam Sangma, Williamnagar legislator Marcuise Marak, Phulbari legislator AT Mondal, East Shillong legislator Ampareen Lyngdoh and Raliang legislator Comingone Ymbon.
From the United Democratic Party (UDP), West Shillong legislator Paul Lyngdoh and Khliehriat legislator Kyrmen Shylla, Pynthorumkhrah legislator AL Hek of the BJP and Mawthadraishan legislator Shakliar Warjri of the HSPDP are also among the ministers to be sworn in tomorrow.
The NPP has the support of 45 MLAs.
