SHILLONG, DEC 15: Thirty-three year old Johnson Khyne was trampled by a wild elephant and sustained internal injury from his chest and spinal cord on Monday morning. This incident occurred around 8 am in the forest located at Shangbangla village near the wildlife sanctuary of Nongkhyllem, Ri-Bhoi.
Khyne is a resident of Shangbangla village. He has been admitted in Civil hospital Nongpoh for treatment. However, due his critical condition, the doctor has referred him to Shillong Civil hospital.
Khyne is the farmer from Shangbangla village and had gone his agriculture land for some work at around 8 am but the wild elephant suddenly attacked and trampled him on his way to agriculture land from opposite direction.- By Our Reporter
