SHILLONG, MAR 20: Former chief minister DD Lapang was recently appointed as the national vice president of the National People’s Party (NPP).
“In exercise of the power conferred on me as president of the NPP under Article 11 of the Constitution of NPP, I am pleased to appoint you as National Vice President of the party with immediate effect,” NPP national president Conrad K Sangma said in a letter to Lapang on March 2.
