Langsning, who had lost their first match to Mumbai Tigers by a solitary goal, are desperate to pick up a point and keep the hopes of qualifying for the next edition of the I-league alive. “It will be a very crucial match for us, and we need to win points in order to boost the morale of the boys,” said Langsning coach L. Darlong.

It will not be easy for the Meghalaya boys, though. Mohammedan have a rich history behind in the context of Indian football, and even though they have been on a downward curve in the past few years, the black and white brigade are itching to get back to the elite wrung of Indian soccer. “They are a good side. In fact, all the teams are equally good, so we cannot take a chance,” said the Langsning coach.

Langsning have injury issues, in particular their important player in Timmy. “Timmy has blisters on his heels. We will decide on whether or not to play him in tomorrow’s match in the morning,” said Darlong.

Mohammedan coach Sanjoy Sen, on the other hand, said Langsning were a good side, but his team will play to win.  “I have seen them play in their last match. They would have won the match, but lost through a penalty,” he said, adding: “It is a crucial match for us and we will go all out to win full points”.
