Landslide in Garo hills

SHILLONG, OCT 12: A landslide occurred at Dobasipara, Tura, West Garo Hills on Friday night. Five to seven houses were affected in the landslide but luckily no one was injured. West Garo hills deputy commissioner Pravin Bakshi said few houses have become vulnerable after the landslide and the occupants have been adviced to vacate the place as a preventive measure. Soon after the incident, disaster management was activated. The landslide also partially affected the national highway because of the piled up mud, but later it was cleared. By Our Reporter
