SHILLONG, DEC 15: Shillong Lajong FC registered a 7-1 win over Tynring Sports Club in the ongoing under-12 Shillong Sports Association Football tournament held in polo ground on Tuesday. The junior Reds had a good control of the match than their opponents from Tynring and scored an early goal when Dashanlang War found the back of the net in the 3rd minute.
Lajong juniors kept pressing forward and wasted no time in scoring their second goal. This time it was Peace Bornson who slotted home a powerful strike in the 8th minute.
Nebaios Swer managed to pull one back for Tynring in the 20th minute.
Lajong juniors who were leading 2-1, continued to dominate ball possession and made good passes upfront. Leitlang Syiemlieh made it 3-1 for Lajong in the 40th minute.
Dashanlang, who looked in a stunning form, netted three more goals in the 43rd, 47th and 50th minutes respectively. The young skillful player scored his first hat trick in the U12 SSA football match today.
The junior Reds displayed a strong performance today and had a good combination play as well. The boys looked sharp, focused and were brimming with confidence.
Damehi scored Lajong’s seventh goal of the match in the 66th minute. Lajong Juniors will take on Krang Sports Club on December 17.- By Our Reporter
