SHILLONG, AUG 6: The Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) on Friday requested the district administration of East Khasi Hills district to consider relaxing the restriction imposed on public transportation due to problems faced by students during admission time.
In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, Chairman of the KSU Education Cell Raymond Kharjana said that due to the imposition of restriction by the government for plying of public transport in view of the ongoing pandemic, students are being made to suffer in travelling from one specific location to the other for Applying and submission of college admission form.
He requested the DC to intervene by providing relaxation of restrictions imposed on plying of public transport as to ease the difficulties faced by the student’s community at present.
