KHNAM member arrested

SHILLONG, NOV 19: Forty eight years old Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakenning Movement (KHNAM) member Anthony Kharbuli  was arrested by the ;police on Tuesday  for instigating the crowd during a meeting called by CSWO on September 25 followed by illegal procession to Motphran.  Kharbuli was arrested from Spring Side in the city. On September 25, procession led by the Khasi Women Welfare and Development Association (KWWDA) and the Civil Society Women’s Organization (CSWO) almost turned violent when stones were pelted on the on-duty police personnel injuring six of them.- By Our Reporter
