SHILLONG, APR 28: Chandra Mohan Jha, the chancellor of the tainted CMJ University, was taken to the Shillong Civil hospital on Monday morning after he complained of illness. A diabetic patient, Jha underwent check up for diabetic and high blood pressure.
A source said that Jha, who is under ten days police custody and is presently being interrogated by a special CID team headed by an additional SP, complaint of sickness and was immediately taken to the Civil hospital for a checkup.
The source said, “However after the check up he has been taken back to the Sardar police station where he is lodged.” Jha is being interrogated by the special team and despite complaining about his health and his subsequent visit to the hospital, he will again me interrogated on Monday evening in the CID headquarter.
Jha was remanded to ten days police custody on April 24 and ever since been interrogated by the CID. He was arrested from Patna and brought to Shillong after which the chief judicial magistrate has remanded him to police custody for ten days.
Jha is probed for awarding hundred of fake certificates to students in different discipline from the CMJ University, which he had founded and operates from Shillong. The state government has since close down the university.- By Our Reporter
