SHILLONG, MAR 25: The 13-pro Inner Line Permit (ILP) ngos demanding for the implementation of the ILP in Meghalaya have asked the state government to speed up the process of inviting them for another round of talks.
Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) general secretary Auguster Jyrwa informed that the ngos had submitted a representation on the ILP issue to the government two weeks ago, but the government has not responded so far He said the government must not waste time to invite the groups for talks based on the representation they had submitted.
At the same time, Jyrwa said that the union would commemorate the Khasi National Awakening Day on April 4.Jyrwa requested members of the public belonging to the indigenous community to participate in the programmes to be organised for the day.
