Infant dies in bus accident

SHILLONG, SEPT 19: A two months old baby died when a mini bazaar bus ML 06 5881 that was travelling from Mawkyrwat to Nongnah village fell into a gorge near Keniong village injuring another twenty-three passengers. The victims were rushed to Mawkyrwat CHC for treatment and so far confirmed that the two months infant lost her life. The driver of the bus has been arrested and sent for medical examination. Police said that preliminary enquiry shows mechanical defect as the cause of accident. The police are waiting for detail reports as the investigation on.-By Our Reporter
